Opening March 31, 2023, Sanctuary Treehouse Resort is the first of its kind in the Smoky Mountains. The resort is situated on 40 acres and will be the largest treehouse resort in the world.

Grand Opening Event
Be one of the first to experience the magic of Sanctuary Treehouse Resort at the grand opening ribbon cutting and open house. This is an event you won’t want to miss as it gives the community an opportunity to view the incredible treehouse resort before guests begin their stay. You may have seen the magnificent treehouses in photos or videos online, but nothing compares to the magic of standing right inside one. The event will take place on March 27, 2023 at 4PM and is fully open to the public.
Join the Jensen family for an evening of celebration and adventure as they reveal the first-of-its kind, world renowned treehouse resort. At this celebration, visitors will get a glimpse of the magic Sanctuary Treehouse Resort holds. The evening will be filled with delicious food, live entertainment, and community celebration!
Guests will be able to navigate through all seven whimsical treehouses currently established on the property. The tour of the treehouses will reawaken guests inner child while they explore all of the unique and interactive amenities the treehouses have to offer. These amenities include rope swings, slides, escape hatches, hidden beds, drink chutes and more.
Phase One
As Sanctuary Treehouse Resort opens its doors, guests will be able to experience phase one of the resorts plans. Phase one includes amazing nature trails around the breath taking property and seven treehouses including one Luxe treehouse, one Tree Fort Double, and four Tree Forts.
- The Luxe treehouse rental (The Honey Hole) is perfect for couples and small families for up to 4 people. This rental features upscale fixtures, decor and amenities including a copper clawfoot tub, suspended outdoor daybeds, outdoor tubs, and more.
- The Tree Fort Double (Tarzan and Jane) rental allows guests to reserve two Tree Forts connected by a drawbridge for group accommodations. On each end of the draw bridge is a slide perfect for dueling slide races. The draw bridge can be left down for a path way between treehouses or raised for privacy.
- The Tree Fort rental (Chasing Fireflies, Squirrels Gone Wild, and Tree-mendous Fun) is great for families and can accommodate up to 6 guests comfortably. It features unique amenities like a slide, drink chutes from the kitchen to the lower porch, swings, escape hatch with secret ladders, crank out beds, and so much more.
Future Plans
Planning on making a stay at Sanctuary Treehouse Resort an annual tradition? The fun won’t stop at phase one! The resort plans to continue expanding as they complete a three phase building project. The resort has very exciting future projects planned! These plans include many more treehouses, more adventure trails, a gift shop and convenience store, an Enchanted Forest, a hot spring, observation decks, and so much more!
With the addition of many more treehouses, the resort plans to add an Enchanted Forest which will be just as magical as it sounds! This section of the property will include multiple treehouses set up in a community surrounded by enchanting lights and thrilling interactive amenities.
